SEO Positive Respond to Facebook Launching Social Search

Facebook has announced a major addition to its social network with the launch of a smart search engine called graph search, which will allow users to conduct natural searches of content shared by their friends.

Graph search is a collective term of information shared between friends connected on a site and has many search experts and businesses debating how it will affect the search market.




Face book CEO Mark Zuckerberg has insisted the addition is not a web search or a direct challenge to Google. However Facebook will be integrating Microsoft’s Bing search engine when the graph search cannot find answers to user’s queries.

This announcement by Facebook has many considering what this means for the future of SEO. The Facebook graph search is taking on Google plus and offering users a different kind of search, meaning they’ll be able to search based on their friend’s recommendations and interests.
